Parametric escalator for Blender
Parametric escalator and a set of escalators for Blender are shown in action in the video above.
The distribution contains two Blender files:
escalator.blend: a single parametric escalator
escalators.blend: a set of parametric escalators
Both files contain pure parametric geometry without any material applied!
Both parametric models are released under the СС-BY-SA 4.0 license.
When you open either of the files, you may see a warning in the header bar of Blender. Press the button to the right from the warning message to get the escalator model loaded correctly.
escalator.blend
To change the height of the escalator, select the Blender EMPTY object and start moving it up or down.
The video above shows tweaking a number of numerical escalator parameters. To access them, select the top level object with the name , then find the panel in the tab of the window as shown in the video.
To animate the steps of the escalator, find the Blender MESH object in the window under the object hierarchy tree . Make the object selectable. Select it actually and start moving it.
